THE CHALLENGE
Plastic Solution has established itself in the Italian and international market in the field of technical supplies for the industry. It boasts over thirty years of experience in the production of all types of semi-finished plastic materials, such as common polymers, technopolymers, and superpolymers.
It caters particularly to those who need to produce custom-designed turned or milled, planed, cut, and chamfered parts according to diverse needs. In order to significantly increase its productivity, the company decided in 2021 to upgrade its machinery to Industry 4.0 by interconnecting the new BIESSE Selko SK 4, Materia CL, and Rover Plast machines, leveraging the tax incentives of the Transition 4.0 Plan, and taking the first steps towards Industry 4.0.
THE SOLUTION
For this reason, Plastic Solution installed the new digital solution for managing company orders, SMARTCONNECTION by BIESSE “powered by RETUNER®”: the MES software developed by Orchestra, in collaboration with BIESSE, to plan, advance, control, and finalize the machining operations in production. This technology is specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises operating in plastic processing that still lack a digitalized production management system.
