Grinding Technology, digital solutions for the grinding world
2024
With 100 years of experience, the Morara and Tacchella brands, now under the company name Grinding Technology, are world leaders in the production of universal cylindrical grinding machines for external and internal use.
A benchmark located in the province of Alessandria, in the heart of Piedmont, it stands out for its stability, historical significance, and constant commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Founded on the acquisition of three historic brands in the international grinding machine landscape (Meccanodora, Morara, and Tacchella), the company operates worldwide and exports about 60% of its revenue.
Since 2022, Grinding Technology has established a partnership to digitalize its machines and implement Industry 4.0 and 5.0 projects for its clients, offering them new digital services. For the Italian market, in particular, Orchestra offers machine manufacturers a turnkey “Transition 5.0” package that includes technology for monitoring consumption relative to the equivalent production unit and services for handling paperwork and appraisals, which can be fully recovered as a tax credit.
“The scalability and multi-level architecture of the RETUNER® solution allows us to meet the needs of various types of customers. From customers taking their first steps in digitalization and needing digitalized machines based on standard interconnections, to those who have already experienced the benefits of Industry 4.0 and want to monitor and control the entire production, also integrating operators according to the Industry 5.0 model. This is also thanks to the fact that the RETUNER® solution can interconnect a multi-brand machine fleet. With the launch of the National Transition 5.0 Plan, Orchestra also provides us with the opportunity to obtain a turnkey package that ensures access to the benefits of the new Transition 5.0 Plan,” says Luca Verre – Regional Sales Manager.
