Di Pietro Moreno: the Industry 4.0 revolution in a small wood processing business

THE CHALLENGE

Di Pietro Moreno Carpentry, based in Teramo, produces custom wooden furniture tailored to meet the specific needs of its customers. In particular, the company manufactures doors and windows, excluding armored doors.

With the aim of optimizing the company’s production process, in 2022 the carpentry decided to make its machine park 4.0 by interconnecting the new ROVER K FT 2243 BIESSE: a choice that allowed the company to access the 4.0 Transition Plan tax credit and to initiate a partnership with Orchestra aimed at digitizing production.

THE SOLUTION

The first step towards digitization was to interconnect the purchased machine with Biesse’s SMARTCONNECTION “powered by RETUNER®”, the MES digital solution developed by BIESSE and Orchestra, specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises in the wood industry. It is a factory management system with the main function of optimizing company production processes by making production control more efficient.

THE BENEFITS
