CTF mobili in kit: the Industry 4.0 revolution in a small company specialized in wood processing for furniture

THE CHALLENGE

CTF di Corbetta Tiziano & C. snc – mobili in kit is a company with over 40 years of expertise in the high-quality furniture sector. The company offers products and services for large distribution, including bookshelves, shoe cabinets, dressers, living rooms, computer desks, wardrobes, nightstands, multipurpose surfaces, broom holders, columns, and disposable laundry products.

The high quality standard is achieved through a complete processing cycle, with inline production that allows easy management of the entire production process, alongside the use of high-tech machines. This is complemented by continuous checks on materials and processing, driven by the desire to obtain a carefully finished product that can withstand the test of time.

Driven by the desire to increase production efficiency, in 2021 the company decided to optimize its production processes, upgrading its machinery to 4.0 standards. This was accomplished by interconnecting the new BIESSE DRILL using the tax incentives of the Transition 4.0 Plan to automate the advancement of production orders.

THE SOLUTION

The first step was to equip the company with a production management software to connect the new machines. Since they were BIESSE machines, the choice fell on SMARTCONNECTION by BIESSE, “powered by RETUNER®”: the MES developed by BIESSE in collaboration with RETUNER®, a suite of products from Orchestra, specifically designed for small and medium enterprises in the wood industry.
